One More and a Move to the Chattanooga area.

by @ 11:21 pm. Filed under The Truth Shall Set you Free!

The Lord in his infinite wisdom, decided that although I was happy with 2 kids, my wife and I should be blessed with a 3rd. A blessing that was of course His will and a bit of a surprise for us. Very much a not my will but thine be done moment when we first learned my wife is pregnant with baby #3. And I’ll say, my wife was one who once seemed unable to conceive. Doctors could offer no medical solution. (And we don’t do “fertility drugs”.) But God, through no additional medical effort has allowed her to conceive now repeatedly and again a child is in her womb, well beyond the point of statistical loss. Meaning unless the Lord says otherwise the baby will be born and we see HIM (yes another boy) kicking every day. I have no clue how anyone can claim a child in the womb is not a life, but this little guy would like to kick his way out if he could. He’s due early next year, but today doctors confirmed he’s big enough that he could pop out tonight if he wanted and it would not be an issue.

So we’ll have 3 boys. All boys. Yes I enjoy every minute of it 😀 . His will be done and I enjoy the way He does it 🙂 . And hey folks, none of that “oh your poor wife, no girl for her”, one woman is plenty 😆 . I’m a man, I know how to raise men, a girl would totally throw me off kilter. If I had a baby girl I might become a false teacher and start twisting scriptures to justify locking any boys in a private dungeon that took any interest in her 😈 .

So the whole move to the Nashville area idea was on the foundation of life with 2 children, not 3. So with 3 has come a slight adjustment. (Because like I said, a 3rd was a surprise.) We’ve got people all over this state of TN, so a while back we moved from the Nashville area over to the Chattanooga portion of the state.

So praise the Lord, all is well. No I probably won’t be going on with details about the kids and answering a bunch of questions and such. Because, that’s the kind of thing my wife likes to do and she does not blog  .

Congrats to you, IC.  I have an 11 year old girl (she’ll be 12 next month).  As she’s coming of age and boys are taking interest in her, I look up and ask God for wisdom to raise her.  By the way, she told me that she doesn’t like Benny Hinn and TBN, so she knows about false prophets.  May God continue to guide her steps.  She’s going to need it.

Prayerfully, her discernment of boys will be as good as her discernment of false teachers.

    Congratulation!

Well according to news reports men that have 4 children or more have a better chance to live to 100 ( not sure how they came up with that one).  I have all girls (2) if I had 2 more I might not make it to 40.

LOL!  IC, you slipped into the flesh on that one.  But anyway, congrats.  I was wondering whether or not your wife ever blogs.  It’s actually a good think she doesn’t b/c blogging takes a lot of research and time and one blogger per family is more than enough.  My husband reads blogs (mostly sports blogs) and my blog but he does not personally blog.

IC: Hey, congratulations, man! They told my wife that she would never have kids either, and we have a boy and a baby girl. As far as the "I’m a man, I know how to raise men, a girl would totally throw me off kilter", well I am going through that right now! And get this … on the "If I had a baby girl I might become a false teacher and start twisting scriptures to justify locking any boys in a private dungeon that took any interest in her" … well I was out with my wife and girl, 6 months old at the time, and we come across this mother with a little boy, about 12 – 16 months old. He sees my daughter, leans toward her, and puts out both arms, as if to say "Come over here pretty girl so I can hold you!" (The little boy can’t talk yet, I could only imagine what he would have said if he could have). So, er, oh yeah IC, you need a girl! 😉

tsk, tsk, tsk.  as the youngest of three boys all i have to say is: the chickens are coming home to roost. 🙂

congratulations, bro.  as you already know, children are a blessing.  i have an eight year old son named Malaki (variant of Malachi) that is just a gas to be around.  i also have a nine year old daughter (name withheld to protect YOU) who is beautiful.  objectivity?  pfft.

i also have the ability to pick off any ill-thinking and fleeing boy from about 1,000 yards with my Remington M-40A3 "discipline stick", you know the new marine sniper rifle.

    i kid thee, not.

GaryV, you know I’ve found comfort in Psalm 127:3-5 🙂 .  I thought it was full with 2, but God decided there is room for another 😆 .

    Congratulations on your expanding family!

"Children are a blessing from the Lord indeed"
