What if staffers employed by a US Senator ran an illegal scheme to gather information on a minority political candidate and were caught? What a mess it would create for the Senator who employed them. He would probably have to apologize profusely for the actions of his workers. Also massive questions would come regarding his knowledge of the deed. Somebody might pull a race card, since the person targeted was a minority. Maybe there would be a massive Federal investigation…maybe IF THE PERSON THEY WENT AFTER WAS A DEMOCRAT!
Well experienced DC staffers working for US Senator Charles Schumer carried out the kind of scheme I just mentioned above. Their target was Maryland potential US Senatorial candidate Michael Steele, who is a Conservative Republican. As a result the staffers have resigned, months after the fact! The media has not made much news of this incident. And Charles “Chucky, Chucky, Chucky” Schumer has not had much to say about the matter. No apology for his workers’ actions! All he has to say is that he didn’t know! While the potential dirt of some Congressmen makes daily front page news, for others the dirt flies away from the media like the wind!
Well CHUCKY you’ve got a lot of explaining to do and you would do well to issue an apology for the actions of people working under YOU.
